I wrote this song as a tribute to my momma. It tells the story of her life growing up in New Orleans, a young girl living during segregation, bringing up 4 kids as a single mother, losing everything in 3 major Hurricanes (including Hurricane Katrina)...plus her name sounds like Superman’s girlfriend ‘Lois Lane’. I reference this in the song.
