about

‘He Said/She Said’ is a song inspired by the relentless onslaught of misinformation and fake news that circulates in these times.

I wrote this song a few years ago, and if anything it’s only gotten worse. We literally don’t know what to believe anymore. Writing this song was my way of venting my frustrations about not knowing who or what to believe when you turn on the TV, pick up magazines, or scroll through social media. But hey…the song still had to be funky! I’m from New Orleans!

I hope you enjoy the song!

Love and light,

~Acantha

lyrics

Papers flyin’ everywhere
Telling me what’s new
Don't know where to go my friend
Don't know what to do
Everybody talkin’
At the same damn time
No one’s tryna listen
Word wars to the other side

All hell's broken loose
And the world is on its knees
Aren't ya tired of faking it?
Somebody tell me please

That's what he said
Can ya believe it?
That's what she said
Can we believe it?
That's what you said
Can we believe it?
OW!

Getting my attention
Postin’ on my line
Follow all the stories
We runnin’ outta time

All hell's broken loose
And the world is on its knees
Aren't ya tired of faking it?
Somebody tell me please

That's what he said
Can ya believe it?
That's what she said
Can we believe it?
That's what you said
Can ya believe it?
OW!

Everything is extra
Cause we readin’ all about it
Word on the street
Let’s join a gang and fight it out

All hell's broken loose
And the world is on its knees
Aren’t we tired of faking it?
Somebody tell me please

That's what he said
Can ya believe it?
That's what she said
Can ya believe it?
That's what you said
Can we believe it?

OH
Information highway
Get a ticket much too fast
Tune in everybody
Everybody feedin’ back

All hell's broken loose
And the world is on its knees
Aren’t ya tired of faking it?
Somebody tell me please

That's what he said
Can we believe it?
That's what she said
Can ya believe it?
That's what you said
Can we believe it?
That's what he said
Can we believe it?
That's what she said
Can we believe it?
That's what you said

YEAHHHHHHHHHHH
OW!
